Cheering Louder for Our Own๐Ÿงก๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’š

It really stings when our own champions—who play for and represent our nation, who make us proud to be Indians—are not treated with the respect they deserve on bigger stages.

There are many sports and games that haven’t received the fame or recognition that cricket, football, or basketball enjoy. Yet, there are athletes who struggle relentlessly just to represent our nation on the world stage, dreaming of making our flag fly high. Unfortunately, we don’t treat all of them equally. They are all athletes, right? Then why can't we treat them equally???

One should ask themselves: just because we live in India, is supporting only cricket enough? I agree—I am not perfect, and I don’t judge anyone. I’m in the same boat too. But over the past few days, my perspective has changed.

If asked, I might be able to name a few well-known celebrity sportspersons only. But what about the rest—the ones who have received no name or fame despite playing for our nation? It’s truly heartbreaking to see coaches of different sports struggling just to participate in competitions, even when their teams are capable and deserving.

Why have we become like this? Why aren’t we supporting and backing other sports on bigger platforms? Why are we celebrating foreign players while ignoring or sidelining our own champions? Is this right from our end? How must that player have felt? He might have felt that his contribution to the nation never truly mattered to his own people.

Come on, guys—celebrate sports! Celebrate players! But support our own players first. Respect them and their efforts to make our nation proud. Back them up. If not us as Indians, then who else will?

When we are not doing anything, when we are not trying to bring change, who else will? Aren’t these players representing us? Isn’t it our responsibility to stand by them?

We promote Atmanirbhar Bharat to boost local production—so why can’t we boost our local players too?

It breaks my heart when I see our own players pleading with us to come, watch their games, and support them. It hurts even more when coaches take their teams to international matches through loans, and yet those players go on to win games and rewrite history.

This realization may have come late, but I truly believe that supporting the talent born on our soil is the justice we owe our motherland. Let’s support them, respect them, and acknowledge their efforts on international platforms.

It’s high time they receive the love and gratitude they truly deserve.

Let’s go, India!
We are proud of every single Indian who makes our nation stand tall.

❤️
